Child safety standards
These standards apply to the Bazarmap website (bazarmap.com) and to the Bazarmap app for Android on Google Play. Bazarmap has zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) and for child sexual abuse material (CSAM).
What is prohibited
- Any post, photo, comment, profile or message that sexualises a minor: images, drawings, videos, text or links.
- Grooming: contacting a minor for sexual or romantic purposes, or asking a minor for photos, meetings or personal details.
- Sextortion, trafficking and any other exploitation of a minor.
- Romantic or dating posts by or about anyone under 18. People under 16 may not use Bazarmap at all, and the "Date (18+)" type is for adults only.
How we enforce it
- Our moderation system checks every post, photo, comment, profile and private message. Content that shows a minor in a sexual or romantic context is taken down at once, and the account that posted it is closed.
- Every post and every private conversation has a "Report" button with the reason "content involving minors", in the app and on the website. Conversations also have a "Block" button. Reports are reviewed automatically within minutes, around the clock. Every report or finding that involves a child is also sent to a person on our team.
Reporting to the authorities
When we find child sexual abuse material or learn about it, we remove it, close the account and report it to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC CyberTipline) or to the competent law enforcement authority in the relevant country, as the law requires. We answer requests from law enforcement.
Contact
Our child safety contact is [email protected]. Write to us about any concern that involves a child, with "Child safety" in the subject line.
If a child is in immediate danger, first call your local emergency number (112 in Europe, 911 in North America). You can also report abuse material directly to NCMEC at report.cybertip.org or to the Internet Watch Foundation at report.iwf.org.uk.
